BEFORE AND AFTERS

At Balboa's Bed & Biscuit, we practice fear free grooming. This means we take the time to comfort your dog and allow your dog to warm up to the new environment. We take breaks if we notice your dog is becoming stressed and allow the dog to get off the table, roam, and be comforted. This is why we could request more time than usual to get your dog's groom done, especially if the dog is new.

Providing estimates just based on your dog's breed is very difficult. The price will depend on your dog's age, size, coat type, coat condition and temperament.

Dog's age - We like to be very careful to not stress out older dogs especially and older dogs tend to have more warts/lumps we must be careful to dodge. We also like to ease new dogs into the grooming process so the first groom may cost more due to the extra time needed to get the dog used to the processes as they will tend to move and pull more in the beginning.

Size - More dog to groom.

Coat type -  Heavily coated dogs will take much longer and include much more bathing, drying, and brushing time.

Coat Condition - Matting could cause a groom to take longer and extra dirty dogs will need to be bathed more than once.

Temperament - A dog that is not used to grooming will move more and pull more and will add significant time to the groom.
